1 2/3 cups all-purpose flour 3/4 teaspoon baking powder 1/2 teaspoon baking soda 1/2 teaspoon salt 3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) butter or margarine, softened 3/4 cup packed brown sugar 1/3 cup granulated sugar |
1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 large egg 1 3/4 cups (12-ounce package) Chocolate Chips 1 cup flaked coconut, toasted if desired 3/4 cup macadamia nuts or walnuts, chopped |

Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt in small bowl. Beat butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar and vanilla extract in large mixer bowl until creamy. Beat in egg. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in morsels, coconut and nuts. Drop by slightly rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake in preheated 375° F oven for 8 to 11 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Let stand for 2 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely. Makes about 3 dozen cookies. |

2 pkgs. active dry yeast 1 1/2 c. lukewarm water (110°) 4 1/2 c. sifted flour 2 tblsp. sugar 2 tblsp. plus 2 tsp. baking powder 1 1/2 tsp. salt |
1 c. shortening 1 can Pizza Sauce 1 c. grated Parmesan cheese 12 oz. mozzarella cheese, shredded Toppings as desired |

To make pizza dough: Sprinkle yeast over lukewarm water; stir to dissolve. Sift together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in mixing bowl. Cut in shortening with pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse meal. Add yeast mixture, stirring until dough forms. Turn dough out onto lightly floured surface. Knead lightly 10 times. Divide dough into thirds. Roll out each third on floured surface to 15 x 12-inch rectangle. Place on 3 greased baking sheets, crimping up edges to form 1/2 inch rim. Top with one third of Pizza Sauce, one third of Parmesan cheese, one third of mozzarella cheese and desired toppings. Bake in 425° oven 15 minutes or until crust is golden brown. Cut into wedges and serve immediately. Makes 3 large pizzas. Note: Prepared pizzas can be frozen for baking later. Place pizza on baking sheet in freezer. When frozen, remove from baking sheet. Wrap pizza in aluminum foil and return to freezer. When ready to bake, remove aluminum foil. Place on baking sheet. Do not thaw. Bake in 425° oven 20 minutes or until crust is golden brown. |
