Lavender. The layout isn't very good and the writing is all wonky. Still, it's not too bad for a first attempt.

Spearmint. This one turned out pretty well. Just need to practice my calligraphy some more.

Nutmeg. I don't like this one at all. The writing is too big and sloppy and the picture is too small.

Feverfew. This one didn't scan well, but in person it's pretty good. Yes, I know the first word is misspelled and the l is malformed. That's why this is a practice run. :)

Larkspur. This was an experiment for a different type of pic. The writing is done in Runes which were evidently popular in the middle ages. Each one has a meaning and I was trying to make a wish for health and a successful outcome for my friend who is going through a high risk pregnancy. The first rune stands for joy, the second for family strength and the third preserves the rune that comes before it, in this case the family. The final rune stands for a successful outcome. I think. If you know more about runes than I do and have suggestions, I'd love to hear them.

Cinquefoil. Ok, I don't like the composition, but the painting turned out ok. The calligraphy is improving, too. I might be ready to start painting on my homemade paper soon. Maybe.
