Penny is about 10 years old. She's a purebred sable Shetland Sheepdog. She is the only dog I've ever known with a sense of humor. Penny is not just smart, she's practically telepathic. She knows what I want before I can even ask. One of her best tricks is the cuddle one. She sleeps in my bed, of course. When it's cold outside, and I need a little doggy bed warmer, I tell her, "Penny, I'm cold." She then gets up and curls up against my back.

Don't let her innocent look fool you, this is the toughest dog I know. She enforces the rules around our house. If the cats scratch the furniture, she chases them. If the dogs act up, she snaps at them. She's getting a little slow as she gets older, but she is still second in command in this family!

LOL... this is the dog I know and love. She's actually yawning, but she could just as easily be barking, laughing, etc. This is not a restful dog. If you know anything about Shelties you know they like to talk, and Penny is the Joan Rivers of Shelties. Thanks for visiting her page, and I hope you enjoyed meeting her!
