Critter Country Land at Disneyland; opened on November 23, 1988. When Splash Mountain was under construction, it was decided to change the name of the area from Bear Country, when the Country Bear Jamboree had been its biggest draw, to Critter Country, which would encompass the bears as well as the new critters that inhabited Splash Mountain.

The ambiance of the land remained refreshing - tall, shady trees giving a cool forest feel to the area, with rustic buildings nestled among them.

This is probably one of the least interesting lands as far as I'm concerned. I'm not fond of Splash Mountain. The lines are always too long, and I hate that first fall. I enjoy the Country Bear Jamboree: it's cool, I can sit down, and the music isn't bad. Besides, it's got lots of silly jokes! ~~Becky
