During my last visit to the park I, of course, took the jungle cruise. As I think I've mentioned before, the jungle cruise captains are the hams of the park. For some reason, very few of them are female. Well, we had a woman captain, and she was definitely a ham, and very funny.

We went on the jungle cruise Saturday night and she adlibbed a LOT. My favorite started this way, "That's a bengal tiger over there. The interesting thing about the Bengal tiger is that it can grow to weigh over 5000 pounds, and can jump over 25 feet. Kinda freaky isn't it? Woo Hoo!"

I thought that seemed a bit extreme, but didn't really question it, until she repeated this over and over again with every animal we saw until all the people on the boat were chanting it with her. Then we got to the dock, and we chanted the entire refrain about the guides waiting to help us out of the boat. It was silly, but so much fun!

Watch out for those Bengal Tigers! You know, they can grow to weigh over 5000 pounds... ~~Becky
